Hi, I’m Janett Jimenez, a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern dedicated to supporting individuals on their journey toward healing and self-discovery. During my internship, I worked closely with survivors of trauma and crime, which shaped the way I approach therapy today with compassion, presence, and a deep respect for each person’s experience.
One of the tools I use is Traumatic Incident Reduction (TIR), a gentle, structured approach that helps people process painful memories and reduce the emotional weight they carry. It’s been incredibly powerful to witness how this technique can bring relief, clarity, and a sense of control back into someone’s life.
I take a person-centered approach, meaning I meet you where you are and walk alongside you without judgment. I also draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and narrative techniques to help explore how past experiences may be showing up in the present and how we can work together to create change.
I’ve worked with a wide range of individuals navigating everything from anxiety and stress to identity and relationship challenges. I believe in flowing with you, moving at your pace, helping you recognize your own strengths, and connecting who you are now to the person you’re becoming. You already hold so much within you and I’m here to help you tap into that.
