Emily Sedwick

RMHCI Orlando

I am a registered mental health counselor intern with a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University. I am passionate about helping individuals identify what’s getting in the way of their health, happiness, and fulfillment, and supporting them as they build more connected, values-aligned lives.

I believe that healing begins with authenticity. I show up for my clients as my genuine self and I’m committed to “practicing what I preach”—modeling the kind of self-awareness, balance, and compassion I help my clients cultivate in their own lives. My work is grounded in the belief that true well-being comes from nurturing the connection between mind, body, and spirit.

I have experience working with children, teens, and young adults in a wide range of clinical and community settings. My background includes working as a registered behavioral therapist for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, a TMS technician supporting medical professionals in recovery from substance use disorders, a master’s-level intern at Pinellas Juvenile Detention Center, and a primary counselor for teenage girls in the foster care system at a residential group home.

I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, anger, behavioral issues, and substance use. I also support clients through life transitions, helping them strengthen emotional regulation, communication, and coping skills to foster healthier relationships with others and with themselves.

I incorporate mindfulness and holistic practices into my work and enjoy helping clients explore the deeper connections between mental, emotional, and physical health. I have a particular passion for supporting women through the unique challenges they face—empowering them to navigate life with clarity, strength, and self-compassion.

As a proud member of the LGBTQIA+ community, I am dedicated to creating a safe, inclusive, and culturally informed therapeutic space for all clients. I work with individuals of all ages and backgrounds.

Outside of the therapy room, I find joy in nature, animals, movement, and connection. I enjoy hiking, exercising, cooking healthy meals, and spending meaningful time with my friends, family, and community.

I offer in-person sessions in the Orlando area and virtual sessions across the state of Florida.
